The winter break is a great time to go out as a family and experience the magic that the holiday season is all about together. No one has to worry about homework getting done on time and waking up to meet the school bus. That means there’s plenty of time to get to as many attractions as you can in your new car from Hiley Buick GMC of Fort Worth.

We at Hiley Buick GMC of Fort Worth want you to enjoy the holiday season and get around town safely. That’s why we made this list of places to bring the kids during winter break and do it in a new or used vehicle from our dealership. Here’s a list of fun spots to go to in Fort Worth this holiday season with the family.

Fort Worth Zoo

The Fort Worth Zoo offers a daily winter zoo camp for kids from five to 10 years old. It starts on the 19th of Dec. and runs through Jan. 3, 2023. Kids get the opportunity to learn more about the zoo animals and have fun with zoo-related activities. There’s also a Zoo Year’s Eve for kids that starts at 6 p.m. and goes through the night. Parents can pick their kids up at 9 a.m. on New Year’s Day.

The Fort Worth Zoo is putting on a Texas Wild! Wonderland for the first time ever. The event turns Texas Town into a holiday wonderland that includes holiday-themed shows, pictures with Santa, snowfall, and seasonal food items. You can also buy merchandise to commemorate the event and remind you of the wonderful time you and your family had at the zoo.

The event is only held on the weekends between Nov. 27 and Dec. 19. It’s an all-day event that’s put on during the park hours of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Fort Worth Museum of Science and Industry

The Fort Worth Museum of Science and Industry has finished up its overhaul of the entire facility and is welcoming visitors to come and see the changes that are found in every gallery. There are no holiday events on the calendar, but the museum is a great place to explore, see how things work, learn more about the world around you, and learn about the latest in paleontology in the DinoLabs. There’s also an indoor playground that’s designed to accommodate children with different abilities but still presents a fun challenge.

It’s a great place to take the family and get introduced to new concepts, learn about the inner workings of things, and stimulate your kid’s desire to learn. Admission for adults is $16 and $12 for kids under 11 years old. Admission to the Cattle Raisers Museum and Noble Planetarium is included.

Altitude Trampoline Park Fort Worth

The Altitude Trampoline Park in Fort Worth offers 25,000-plus square feet of indoor trampolines and other attractions for kids and adults alike. The main court is intended for freestyle trampoline action of all types. Flip your way across the court, try to bounce on all of the trampolines, or play a game of tag. Check out the gymnastic tumble track and make a series of runs on top of a springy surface that sends you higher than ever before. Your budding stunt person can try out their skills on the professional stunt bag setup.

Epic Waters Indoor Water Park

The Epic Waters Indoor Water Park is a great place to take the family during the holidays. Adults and kids get to enjoy slides like the Yellow Jacket Drop, the Aquanaut slide, E-Racers, and the Texas Twist and chill out in the Swimming Hole for a spell. There’s also a Lazy River for parents and their kids to float down and take a break from the excitement. The wave pool is closed during the winter months, but there’s so much to do inside that you won’t miss out.

The park also has an arcade, a dining area, and a full-service bar. Cabanas are available to rent and give your family a place to hang out, eat, and meet up at regular intervals.

The park has various rules for the safe use of the park, and you can get your frequently asked questions answered on the website before you arrive. You can prepare yourself for a day of fun and excitement and stay on the right side of the park rules by reading up in advance.

Fort Worth Aviation Museum

The Fort Worth Aviation Museum gives the whole family the opportunity to get up close and personal with various military and civilian aircraft that date from the beginning of American aviation to modern fighter jets. It’s a great place for your budding pilot to learn more about different types of planes. The museum works to preserve aviation history while inspiring youth to consider flying as a hobby or career. And is there anything more cool than seeing a retired Air Force jet on display?

The museum also has flight simulators that range from desktop to an actual F-5E Tiger II aircraft trainer with authentic controls. There’s also a virtual reality simulator that delivers the experience of being in control of a fighter jet and shooting down targets.
