The 2025 GMC Yukon is built for those who need space, power, and premium features. Fitting up to eight people and with tons of cargo space, it’s great for big families and road trips. The 2025 GMC Yukon also offers dependable engines and a comfortable ride. Inside, the Yukon features modern tech, upscale materials, and trims and styles that range from practical to super fancy. So, if you’re looking for a bold, capable, and premium SUV, Hiley Buick GMC of Fort Worth has the latest Yukon ready for you.

What’s New for 2025?

The new 2025 GMC Yukon has a new appearance with a redesigned front end that includes an updated grille and headlights. Animated lighting sequences in the front and rear give it a stylish touch. Also, the 24-inch wheels now come standard on the 2025 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate but are optional for other Denali models.

The trim lineup has been modernized, too, with the introduction of the 2025 Yukon Elevation model, which replaces the SLE and SLT. The AT4 Ultimate is also new, combining off-road capability with premium comfort, offering massaging front seats, full-grain leather in all three rows, and elegant open-pore wood trim.

The Denali Ultimate model also now features second-row executive seating alongside a premium 22-speaker Bose sound system. A new night vision system with thermal detection enhances safety, while the upgraded infotainment system features a large 16.8-inch vertical touch screen. And lastly, its diesel engine receives an increase in power that enhances performance capabilities.

Power and Performance

The 2025 GMC Yukon engines come with three robust options. The base model has a 5.3-liter V-8 with 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. If you want more power, there’s a 6.2-liter V-8 that puts out 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. This engine is standard on Denali trims and optional on the AT4. The available 3.0-liter Duramax turbo-diesel engine now produces 305 hp and an impressive 495 lb-ft of torque, making it a great choice for efficiency and towing.

Transmission and Drivetrain Capabilities

Every Yukon comes with a smooth-shifting 10-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive (RWD) is standard, while four-wheel drive (4WD) is available for extra traction. The AT4 trim is built for off-road adventures, featuring a two-speed transfer case, skid plates, all-terrain tires, and an available air suspension that adds up to two inches of Yukon ground clearance.

Towing and Payload Capacity

The Yukon is built to haul. Models with the 5.3-liter V-8 and RWD can tow up to 8,400 pounds, making them the strongest in the lineup. The 6.2-liter V-8 and the Duramax diesel can tow up to 8,200 pounds. Also, the diesel engine delivers 495 lb-ft torque at reduced RPMs, which makes it perfect for pulling heavy loads. This impressive 2025 GMC Yukon towing capacity is due to its advanced technology, such as Transparent Trailer View, Jackknife Alert, and Blind Zone Steering Assist.

Ride and Handling

The Yukon balances power with comfort. The combination of Magnetic Ride Control and optional adaptive air suspension works to reduce road vibrations and enhance vehicle handling. The air suspension system enables height adjustment for easier access and improved ground clearance when driving on uneven terrain. These features allow the Yukon to drive well on any kind of road despite its large size.

Fuel Efficiency

When it comes to efficiency, the 5.3-liter V-8 model gets a combined fuel economy of 17 mpg, while the 6.2-liter V-8 achieves 17 mpg with RWD configuration but marginally drops to 16 mpg when equipped with 4WD. If you’re looking for the most fuel-efficient choice, the Duramax diesel achieves an estimated 23 mpg combined.

2025 GMC Yukon Interior Features, Tech, and Cargo Space

The 2025 GMC Yukon offers plenty of space, seating up to eight passengers. However, if you go for second-row captain’s chairs, seating drops to seven. Every row feels roomy, even the third, so there’s no need to argue over seating.

Denali models take luxury to the next level with open-pore wood trim, chrome accents, and laser-etched details. The front seats adjust 16 ways and come with heating, ventilation, and massage functions for extra comfort. For a truly first-class experience, the Executive Seating package transforms the second row with heated, cooled, and massaging captain’s chairs, a rear entertainment system, and a center console with wireless charging.

A new 16.8-inch infotainment display is the centerpiece of the 2025 Yukon’s interior. It comes with Google built-in for seamless navigation and entertainment. Rear passengers get their own 8-inch climate control screen for added convenience. GMC also fixed a small but important detail — the awkward button-style gear selector is gone. Now, shifting is done with a more natural column-mounted stalk.

The Yukon can also carry everything you need, offering 25.5 cubic feet of cargo space with all seats up. Fold the rear seats, and that expands to 122.8 cubic feet. So, it doesn’t matter if you’re packing for a road trip, hauling gear, or loading up groceries, there’s always space to spare.

2025 GMC Yukon Trim Levels

The 2025 GMC Yukon features five trim levels, starting with the Elevation trim that includes a 5.3L V-8 engine, heated seats, and smartphone integration. The AT4 trim adds off-road enhancements, including skid plates and red tow hooks, while offering a heated steering wheel. Next, the Denali trim level offers improved performance with its standard 6.2L V-8 engine and includes Magnetic Ride Control and a power-sliding console.

The AT4 Ultimate delivers luxury and toughness with its adaptive air suspension and night vision system. Lastly, the Denali Ultimate is the top model with a panoramic sunroof and 18-speaker Bose system, along with premium styling.
