When I purchased my vehicle at another GMC dealership, I purchased a Mastertech 48 Month scheduled maintenance plan, a 48 Month plan that cost $568. It was my understanding that scheduled maintenance (oil and tire rotation) would not be charged for the term of contract. The service tech did not know about the program, and to my knowledge did not ask anyone about it. He basically said it was up to me to get reimbursed by Mastertech. That was not my understanding of the program. Per my sales rep at James Wood GMC in Denton, where it purchased the vehicle, the program was attached to the VIN and any GMC dealership would see it. Maybe I was sold a bill of goods, but when I had the car serviced a James Woods, they were able to see and/or somehow honor it. I would hav e felt better had the service advisor talked to a manager or F&I person if he was not familiar with the program.
